VW is providing a new single-speed powertrain to eClassics. The automaker has borrowed single-speed powertrain from the automaker’s E-Up! electric city car. The battery will come with a total capacity of 36.8 kWh, that is good for around 200 kilometers (124 miles) of range. As a result of that, the retrofit Beetles will make almost 80 horsepower.
